The Board of Trustees meets monthly and reports back to the school community via this newsletter and the website, to give you an idea of what we do and why we do it. You can find out more about the Board here. Here’s a summary from our February meeting:

 

• Each year we review an Impact Report that outlines how our students have performed in key subject areas for the year, and compares that against previous years data. We are pleased to see consistent improvement … proof that our investment in professional development and specialist programs are working across the school and our children are benefiting from that.

• Our Strategic Plan sets the direction for our school … all decisions are based on the plan. The Board discussed the Plan in preparation for a big review involving our wider school community in the coming months. Please watch this space … we will need and value your input to help us map out the future goals for our School.

• We reviewed spending for 2013 and approved the budget for 2014. This year’s spending includes a significant investment in IT: all classes will soon have either a large screen TV or data projector and we will increase the number of wireless devices available. This means we will be in a position to make the best use of our enhanced wifi capabilities when the SNUP School Network Upgrade is rolled out later in the near future (this will double the current capacity of the school’s wireless network).
